We are very thoughtful and purposeful about each role onsite. No role exists alone – every hired team member should expect to interact with and potentially support or jump in for other colleagues at camp.
In general, the onsite roles follow this guide but depending on the program needs and site specifics, there may be duplicate roles or a smaller structure. Each site is unique!

During the summer, payroll is processed biweekly (i.e., every other week) for each unit.
Summer 2025 Schedule
Work Period (Monday – Sunday) | Pay Date (Friday) |
---|---|
May 19 – June 1 | June 6 |
June 2 – June 15 | June 20 |
June 16 – June 29 | July 4 |
June 20 – July 13 | July 18 |
July 14 – July 27 | August 1 |
July 28 – August 10 | August 15 |
August 11 – August 24 | August 29 |
Please note there is a one-week delay between the compensation earned for the current week’s work and the pay received.
In other words, each paycheck will not include the current week’s work; instead your compensation includes the pay earned during the two weeks immediately before the current week.
- For example, the payroll running on Friday, July 4 will be for work done during the weeks of June 16 and June 23.
Please see the FAQs for more insight on the methods and schedule.
Mobilization = move-in day!
This is where we turn camp into camp. Staff who attend mobilization frequently say they start camp knowing where things are and feeling more confident onsite. We also find that folks care about their camp surroundings more when they help put it all together!
When is it scheduled? Typically each site’s mobilization is scheduled for the weekend before their first week of camp.
Interested? A first-come, first-served sign-up will be sent out closer to early June. You will be compensated for your time, and spots are limited!
